Aaron Evans history of Bath's Cinemas
In this fasinating article of the history of Bath's cinemas , Aaron Evans points out that the accuracy of the Friese-Green tribute is disputed but certainly in Bath we have always laid claim to the city's place in cinema history. He writes "With the financial success of the moving picture spreading widely, competition arose amongst the venues of Bath. The Avon Animated Picture Company exhibited at the Jubilee Hall. Performances were given twice nightly and Saturday matinees were also a feature".
