Station Road, Egham Redevelopment

Appointed during lockdown in March 2020 the practice developed proposals for this mixed use development comprising 12 new build apartments and 2 converted apartments above Class 'E' accommodation within the listed, street frontage property.

The site comprised a former grade II listed, historic railway tavern, associated outbuildings and rear garden located close to the town centre. With limited site access and approximately 50% of the site falling within Flood Zone 2, a careful site analysis and innovative design solution was required. The resulting scheme calls upon the local Egham context but reinterprets this in a contemporary but contextual fashion whilst delivering green walls and a 50% reduction in regulated CO2 emmissions.

Planning and Listed Building Consents were granted at committee in March 2021 and the works are now scheduled to start on site summer 2021.
