Newton Road

This site, on the edge of Bath, has a magnificent outlook over adjoining Duchy of Cornwall land. The gradient of the site was one of a number of challenges. Many alternative layouts were prepared before a proposal which followed the terraces of Bath was judged to be most appropriate. It has created a unique hillside development with a mixture of terraced, 2 and 2.5 storey houses by incorporating split levels and three storeys.

This development regenerates an industrial site and blurs the edges of the existing, former council housing to bring back character to this side of Bath
