City of Bath College MAPA Building

The practice worked closely with the College and the design utilises a dramatic set of cantilevering and interlocking cubes, and providing a practical yet impressive performance space.

Reclaimed stone, salvaged from the demolition of smaller buildings, was used on the principle elevation at ground level while self-coloured render and zinc sheet cladding was used on the large cubes. Facilities include TV and recording studios with control rooms, a dance studio, music practice and a performance space with adjacent rehearsal rooms.
