Weston Lock

Bath was perceived as having a need for out of town shopping. But the Council was in favour of generating employment.  It took 3 years and a lot of negotiation before a compromise was reached with a new factory alongside the retail units.

The practice negotiated the complex requirements for this design with the local authority, created a unified development that integrates three buildings into one coherent form and provides a number of environmental and urban design gains by way of improvements to the riverside, and repairs to the hard landscaping to Fieldings Road.
